Jack Green. Huelva’s Council, through the Department for Employment and Economic Development, has in the last quarter of 2013 developed a total of 38 business projects. This has provided entrepreneurs technical advice to help start a business in the Onubense capital.
Comprehensive support was given to the entrepreneurs and the strength of the business pitch was analysed as to whether the information would successfully develop a good business offer. Both the legal form and the Marketing Plan were studied and it was decided which competitors would face the promoter.
The Deputy Mayor for Economic Development, Employment and Environment, Juan Carlos Adame highlighted “People from Huelva can come to our office and will be able to obtain information that is needed to start a company with greater chances of success. Knowing what the market demands right now and what may be the best business opportunities”.
At the Labour Integration Centre in Los Rosales there are ten offices open for the entrepreneurs to use free of charge. This is to help the businessmen and women settle in their first year of activity. Data collated by the Department of Employment on this entrepreneurship in Huelva has shown that there are more male than female entrepreneurs than women in the capital.
This study also showed us that compared to previous years people who have entrepreneurial spirit in the city are older. 26% of the people who are involved in the scheme were between 30 and 35 years old, whereas 24% of entrepreneurs fell into the 40-45 age group.
It must be highlighted that most of the interest comes from the hospitality sector, trade and business services. The right steps are being taken to set up the enterprises professionally from requests for business names in the commercial register to speaking with a notary to formalise deeds, a process that can take around a month and a half.
