Jack Green. From Thursday 8th May until Sunday 11th people from Huelva have a new gastronomic appointment in the centre of the city. This time Huelva’s Prawn and Fried Fish Festival takes place. Like in the last few years it has been organised by the Export Association of Huelva’s Fish and Shellfish, with collaboration from Huelva’s City Council.
Casa Colon has welcomed the official presentation for this event, that reaches it seventh edition. A festival that warmly welcomes Huelva’s residents and visitors to come back and celebrate one of the most important sectors in Huelva’s economy.
Huelva’s mayor Pedro Rodriguez, has congratulated the Export Association for organising this event for another year, “avoiding the crisis and celebrating a festival that helps Huelva stand out and will be an excellent opportunity for visitors to enjoy products from Huelva that the world desires, like our prawns”.
The awning on Andalucia Avenue will transform into a meeting point from 8th – 11th May to taste 5,800 kilos of shellfish and enjoy the symbols of identity and one of Huelva’s best assets, the gastronomy, at reasonable prices for all pockets with plates between 4€ and 6€.
The deputy mayor of Economic Development, Employment and Environment, Juan Carlos Adame, said the council has wanted to show its support one more year. Contributing to the festival again helps to give it as much success as possible.
The event will be held in the open air tent on Andalucia Avenue and with weather forecasts checked, it looks as though the festival will be accompanied by good weather and there won’t be a shortage of lively and musical atmosphere.
