Niebla recovers their Medieval Beer Festival

Cerveza y salud se unen en este estudio.Jack Green. After a long decade of absence, Niebla’s castle will hold the Medieval Beer Festival, alongside the Franca Medieval Fair and the traditional ‘Tosantos’.

The event will dedicate itself to the Beers of the Abbey. Beer that is still produced by the traditional process used by ancient medieval monks.

From ‘Caelia’, a wheat base drink that was fermented in ancient hispanic villages, inherited from Zythum, an Egyptian beer that spanned europe during the Roman Empire. In ancient Ilipla, wine and beer came hand in hand during a long period of decline and although production had been abandoned in favour of wine and the Visigoths kept the drink popular until it arrived in Al-andalus, where there is evidence of consumption. In the Middle Ages the monastery monks passed on the production of the beer, the same as wine.
